In the News..... The atrium of Embassy Suites at The grand ball room was elegantly unfussy, arranged by Belle Soiree Events owner Beth Ludwiczak and event coordinator Lori Scholl. Spherical vases of white flowers anchored the tables for an earthy, Tuscany-inspired seated dinner of spinach salad with Roma tomatoes, shaved with parmesan and polenta croutons; garlic and olive oil beer tenderloin with ratatouille and parmesan risotto; and tiramisu. The Tennessean The two started the party planning business about two years ago. Scholl said they both became interested in the business after they planned her wedding. And since its start, the business has planned numerous birthdays, weddings, corporate events and most recently, helped with the 2008 Legacy Ball, an annual event that benefits the "It's great and a lot of fun," Scholl said. "We're definitely getting to know a lot of people." The name of the business is one that Ludwiczak calls "classic." "It means 'pretty party,' and that's what we do. We throw pretty parties," Ludwiczak said. The two business owners not only throw parties, but they also give party-planning consultations. And the business also receives calls from people looking for the ideal site for their events. The key to running a successful business is to be in the know about event sites and keeping up with the latest party trends, Ludwiczak said. Scholl said the two constantly attend weddings (but not crashing them, of course) and watch for the latest styles in bridal magazines. "We're at the age now where a lot of our friends are getting married, so we get to attend a lot of them," Scholl said. And whether it's attending a wedding or planning a baby shower together, running the business seems to suit the pair just fine. "It's actually pretty easy with the both of us," Scholl said. "We work very well together, and with the two of us it saves a lot of time with us getting things done." For more information, contact Beth Ludwiczak at 972-8999.
